I had the privilege to work with the super talented, smart and gorgeous influencer, Irina Tan to produce, shoot and conceptualise videos for two brand collaborations – Burberry and Pony Effect.

Burberry's Lip Velvet Crush
The strategy was to get Irina to express herself and how the lipstick made her feel. She chose the word 'empowered' which informed the art direction of the video; it had to be timeless, opulent and eccentric while amplifying Irina's charisma.

The video portrays close ups of her paired with raw and candid moments (some of the laughter shots were authentic - she wasn't aware that it was recorded). It also included some subtle hint of product shots (e.g. the lip stain on the coffee cup). All of this was kept to Burberry's brand identity – their signature warn tartan colours; as seen in the choice of clothing and background setting.

Pony Effect is a cosmetic brand by K-Beauty leading makeup artist PONY, inspired by the philosophy of 'infinite transformation. The task was to showcase their brand new cosmetic line through a promotional video and a makeup tutorial. These videos were a setup for Irina's in-store meetup with her Instagram followers.
